It is finally spring here in New England! I found crocuses coming up along the bike trail the other day:



Yesterday, I went to the wildlife refuge, where the ice is finally gone.

I had to go out to gas up the car, and send off a (very late) package, so I stopped at Gates Pond for a nice walk in the mist. It's relatively mild, and everything is covered in sparkly drops of water.





The pond always looks so lovely in the mist.

I took today off as my birthday (it was Saturday) rather than Friday, thinking Monday would be slower at work, and it turned out to be a pretty nice day. I went over to Gates Pond for a walk, and found lots of dragonflies flitting about by the water. A couple of them even held still long enough for me to get a picture.

Nice, if a bit windy, day today. It was nice to not have to bundle up to go outside. I went over to Gates Pond for a walk, but the batteries in my camera died just as I got there. Oh, well!
